Schneider Electric GV2 manual starter and protector provides manual isolation, manual motor control, and thermal overcurrent protection in one compact unit. Square D basic motor starter GV2ME controls motors with full load currents up to 32 A. The GV2P, high performance manual starter, offers a higher withstand rating and visible trip indication for convenience. Telemecanique GV2P has an additional UL 508 type E rating as a stand alone self-protected manual combination starter. The UL 508 type E rating requires the addition of line side insulating barrier GV2GH7. These products have a UL-listed short circuit current rating from 10-100 kA depending on application size and voltage. The thermal trip range and setting should be determined from the motor nameplate full-load current.
