Fusible
Fusible disconnect switches are used to open and close a circuit and offer more robust protection for equipment and personnel. When equipment requires maintenance, disconnect switches make it quick and easy to disconnect and/or reconnect the power. Fused disconnect switches contain multiple fuses inside the same enclosure, making it easy to select and isolate a particular part of the circuit. With the power disconnected, operators can safely work on the equipment in the knowledge that there will be no live voltage that could cause harm. Fusible disconnect switches are commonly used in commercial buildings, healthcare institutions, water and wastewater plants, industrial, and oil and gas applications. Fusible disconnect switches combine fuses with a switch in a single enclosure, providing a simple way to manually open and close the circuit while the fuses are protected against overcurrent and short circuit.
