Light curtains are an alternative to traditional mechanical barriers that can hinder machine maintenance. They create a multi-beam infrared light barrier in front of or around machinery. When any of the beams are blocked, the machine is put in to a safe state to prevent worker injury. Laser scanners prevent hazards from happening when unattended objects or people are in designated danger zones. Safety laser scanners can be unobtrusively mounted to avoid damage or potential impact, while protecting a simple or complex shaped area.
