Heavy duty switches feature a time-proven design like Vacu-Break, SIEMENS VBII double-break switching action breaks the arc in two places. This reduces heat generation and increases switching speed by doubling the breaking distance. The result is enhanced performance and increased longevity. All HF362R VB II safety switches have been tested not only to meet but to exceed all UL requirements. Defeatable dual cover interlocks are standard on all heavy duty switches. NEMA 3R enclosures are intended for outdoor use primarily to provide a degree of protection against falling rain and sleet, and must remain undamaged by the formation of ice on the enclosure. They are not intended to provide protection against conditions such as dust, internal condensation or internal icing.
