Basic / Snap Action

A snap action basic switch is a mechanical switch that sends a rapid transfer of contacts from one position to another. The actuator styles are lever actuators that can be straight or formed; a pushbutton actuator, sometimes called a plunger style; and a roller style actuator that can be an actual or simulated roller. They are commonly used for simple on/off actions, like clicking a mouse button or pressing an appliance setting.
