Contactors are a significant part of safety-related applications. SIEMENS 3RT2017-1BB41 contactors fulfill the requirements for environment category A. 3RT2 contactors are available as standard versions with AC or DC operating mechanisms or as versions with a wide-range solid-state operating mechanism and a universal actuating voltage (AC or DC operation possible). All 3RT2 contactors and 3RH2 contactor relays can be retrofitted with RC elements or varistors for damping opening surges in the coil.
